At a packed Wickham Market Village hall, Dan presented certificates to volunteers who had completed the training course run by local community group Wickham Market Respite & Care.
Dan has often highlighted the challenges facing Ipswich and Suffolk in terms of properly caring for our growing ageing population, which will require better coordinated thinking between local social services and NHS care providers to deliver more community-focussed healthcare.
Wickham Market Respite and care is a perfect example of a community group leading the way providing care for ageing and vulnerable people.
I would like to thank Pam Bell and her volunteers for all the hard work and dedication they have put into making this scheme such a success.
