Wetheringsett Primary school took delivery of an Elm tree as part of the Great British Elm Experiment. This project hopes to reintroduce elm trees to replace those lost to Dutch Elm disease. These trees have been propagated from those that seemed resistant to the disease and the GBEE are asking that schools monitor the trees' progress for the next twenty years in order that they can pinpoint which trees have resistance and reintroduce the throughout the country
Dan helped the oldest and youngest pupils, Mia Webb and Seth Wnokoski to plant the schools Elm tree.
He would like to thank all the pupils, teachers and Headteacher Mrs Vicky Doherty for inviting him to come and help plant this important tree.
