Dan visited Suffolk institution, Skinners Mill in Stradbroke. The Mill has been owned and operated by the Skinner family for seven generations.
Dan was delighted to meet owner Mr Roger Skinner and Matthew Peters, Operations Manager, for a tour of the mill. Dan was shown the process of turning ingredients (using locally grown cereals whenever possible) into dry dog food which is then transported all round the UK and overseas.
"I would like to thank Roger and Matthew for taking the time to show me how the Mill and business operates; they are both incredibly busy people.
"Skinners is a great Suffolk success story, not only in terms of selling its products across the world but by having its roots firmly
in Suffolk. Many of the local employees have been at the company for over 20years, a fantastic partnership between the Mill and the local community."
