Dr Dan read a lesson and attended the annual St Elizabeth Hospice Light Up a Life Service in St Michael's Church, Framlingham, and joined the community in remembering family, friends and loved ones lost this year through a series of readings, Christmas carols, music and private reflection. Many of us have experienced the difficulty of losing a relative or friend, and the Light Up a Life event brings together people who are missing someone at what can be a difficult time of year.
Dr Dan is a great supporter of the St Elizabeth Hospice, which plays a vital role in caring for people with progressive illnesses in Ipswich and Suffolk. Hospices like St Elizabeth, which rely on charitable donations to carry out their work, support vulnerable older people in their own homes and communities by providing a valuable 'hospice at home' service. All the staff and volunteers at the hospice work tirelessly to look after residents towards the end of their lives and he would like to pay tribute to their efforts all year round and for organising another successful Light Up a Life event in Framlingham.
