Dr Dan launched the Safer Village Driving (SAVID) scheme in Clopton with Cllr Tony Fryatt to promote better driving in our rural communities.
Narrow country lanes are not exclusive to motorists but are also used by pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders. Speeding and reckless driving pose a serious danger to all road users and so SAVID was formed by a number of villages in the area with the aim of looking at ways of working together to deal with dangerous driving. It endeavours to work with local businesses and relevant public bodies, and Dr Dan strongly supports their scheme and encourages everyone to be aware of their speed.
