At one of his regular school visits, Dr Dan joined pupils on the School Council when he visited Cedarwood Primary School in Kesgrave. During a Q&A session Dr Dan spoke about his role as an MP and as an NHS hospital doctor, as well as listening to the pupils' ideas and suggestions on how to improve their school. Dr Dan was very encouraged by the enthusiasm of the pupils taking an interest in democracy at such a young age.
