Dr Dan congratulates local children as part of Tesco vouchers for schools scheme

Dr Dan with Tesco staff, local teachers and pupils from Cedarwood Primary School outside the Tesco Metro store in Kesgrave Last week, Dan was delighted to visit the Tesco Metro in Kesgrave to congratulate some of our local schools on their success in collecting store vouchers for new equipment as part of the Tesco for Schools and Clubs scheme. The scheme gives schools and clubs a variety of useful items such a sports and computer equipment in exchange for vouchers earned with shopping bought at Tesco, and it was a real pleasure for Dan to speak with pupils and staff from Cedarwood Primary School in Kesgrave who told him that their vouchers will enable the school to purchase new items for the music department.

Supermarkets have an important responsibility to support their local communities and Dan was pleased to hear of the excellent work that Store Manager Ajay Bahanda and his team are doing to help local sports clubs, schools and groups in Kesgrave. Dan would like to again pass on his congratulations to all of the staff and pupils at the schools that took part.

I do not intend to rehearse the discussion on the lack of, or reduction in, funding for the...

Does he also recognise that CAMHS recruitment is a real challenge? The August 2019 fill rates for higher trainees in the UK stand at...
