After holding one of his regular Advice Bureaux, Dr Dan addressed a special public meeting of Stradbroke Parish Council to discuss the proposed library closure. This was the second day of action on this issue after a well attended protest the week before. The library in Stradbroke is a vital part of the social fabric and residents of the village and those from further afield are passionately opposed to its closure.
At the meeting Dr Dan reassured Anne Kerr, the chairman of the parish council, that he would take the matter up with the county council and do all that he could to help keep Stradbroke Library open for the years to come.
