Dr Dan enjoyed his tour of Baylham House Rare Breeds Farm by the owner, Richard Storer, and he had the opportunity to see some of the rare breeds they keep, mainly pigs, sheep and highland cattle. Dr Dan heard about their breeding programmes and what they are doing to keep these breeds going.
Baylham House Farm relies on volunteer help, including from students of Easton and Otley College as part of their courses. Where it can be increasingly difficult for vet students to get real life experience dealing with large farm animals, Baylham House Farm offers this exciting opportuntity.
