Access All Areas Campaign, Westminster Hall

Dr Dan was contacted by a constituent who uses a guide dog and was attending a campaign event in Westminster Hall to raise awareness of the exclusion from restaurants or taxis guide dog owners face and to lobby for more stringent fines to be levied onto those who do not follow the law. Under the Equality Act, guide dog and other assistance dog owners have the right to enter the majority of services, premises and vehicles with their dog.

Dr Dan was very happy to meet with his constituent and their dog, Ali, and lend his support to their concerns and has made representations to the Government minister on their behalf.
